What to expect?
Join our new host Elisabeth for a 5 to 6-mile walk with people who have their own dogs or are dog lovers. Elisabeth knows this area well as she often walks her own dogs through Ashdown Forest taking in the beauty of her surroundings while exercising her dog. Your host will have a list of everyone who has booked so will be looking out for you. There is a £2 fee which we ask members to pay directly to the walk leader. Elisabeth will arrange a stop off for tea at the Duddleswell tea rooms or the Ashdown Forest Garden centre
Originally a deer hunting forest in Norman times, Ashdown Forest is now one of the largest free public access space in the South East. It is a great place for walking and enjoying spectacular views over the Sussex countryside and is known the world over as the 'home' of Winnie-the-Pooh.
The Forest is at the heart of the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and has national and international protection because of its wildlife.
